Gloria V. Robles | President

Gloria Robles worked as an accountant and public relations specialist in her native Perú before immigrating to the United States in 2004. She taught public speaking to children at the Peruvian American Cultural Institute (ICPNA), a binational cultural center that promotes cultural exchange between Perú and the United States; and worked in radio journalism and doing voice-overs. In the United States, she worked as a volunteer at a Christian radio station and later was the producer of the Alternativa Latina Radio Show at WRHU 88.7 FM at Hofstra University. She was a reporter at Noticia LI for seven years and was the office manager and Gala Coordinator to provide scholarships to undocumented students at Círculo de Hispanidad. Ms. Robles is a community relation director for the Sperling Law Offices, where she also helps immigrants obtain legal status.

Leopoldo Herrera | Vice President

Mr. Herrera is a founding member of the DREAM Foundation and was its first president. Born in El Salvador, Mr. Herrera graduated from the University of California-Berkeley in communications and later worked for CBS News before starting his own TV production business. He is an active member of the Long Island Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and was named as a Hispanic Heritage honoree in the Town of Islip in 2006.

Pricilla Suntoso | Treasurer

Priscillia S. Suntoso was born in Indonesia and was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 2002. She is a founding member of the DREAM Foundation, having served as Treasurer since 2012. Over the years, she has written and edited hundreds of articles for the American Immigration Lawyers Association and other legal organizations. She has also lectured on immigration law before many community organizations in the United States and Indonesia, where she served as part of the President’s Advisory Council from 2006 – 2009. Ms. Suntoso was also an IDEAS-Indonesia Fellow at MIT’s Sloan School of Management in Cambridge, MA. Among her varied talents, she is also an accomplished pianist with a B.A. in Music in Jazz Composition from Berklee College of Music. Ms. Suntoso is now a solo practitioner at the Law Office of Priscillia Suntoso, Esq. located in Forest Hills, NY, and is of counsel to Lubis, Ganie, Surowidjojo in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Adam M. Tavares | Secretary

Attorney at Law, JD – 2013, Touro College Law Center. Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science – 2007 Stony Brook University. Mr. Tavares is the managing partner of the Law Offices of Adam M. Tavares. Prior to starting his own practice, he was an associate with the Law Offices of David M. Sperling. Mr.Tavares is also the Treasurer of the Long Island Hispanic Bar Association.

Jorge A. Gomez | Member

Jorge graduated as a business administrator at the Universidad Externado de Colombia and later completed a specialization in marketing at the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University. During a professional career of nearly 20 years in Colombia, Jorge was in charge of nearly 700 employees and worked primarily in administrative and logistics areas. He currently serves as operations manager of DMS Rental Properties Inc. This company is responsible for the maintenance and development of the four Long Island offices of the Law Offices of David Sperling, as well as other commercial ventures.

George Siberon | Member

George Siberón is the executive director of the Hempstead Hispanic Civic Association, Inc., a not-for-profit, community-based organization that has been providing services to the residents of Hempstead and surrounding communities for more than 35 years. Mr. Siberon is responsible for ensuring that services provided by HHCA (English as a second language, after-school tutoring, summer camp, affordable housing and tenant advocacy) are provided in a professional, culturally sensitive manner. With over 40 years of administrative experience, he has also worked as executive director for the Nassau County youth board, district manager for Rep. Nydia Velazquez, deputy director for programs and acting executive director for Aspira of New York, and psychiatric social worker for the Puerto Rican Family Institute. Mr. Siberon has a master’s degree in social work from Fordham University, and a master’s in public administration from Baruch College, where he graduated with honors. He is also a graduate of the prestigious National Urban Fellows Program and is a member of Phi Alpha Alpha, the National Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration.
